Application for Drainage District

Before Residents or Municipalities can petition for a drainage project, it either has to be within an existing drainage district or an Application for Drainage District needs to be acted upon. The purpose of the Application is to lay out and designate the drainage district. As part of this process a surveyor or engineer will prepare a preliminary engineering report that defines the size and depth of the proposed drain, prepare drawings, computate quantities and estimate cost of potential construction. This study is taken into account to determine the practicability of a proposed drain.

Applications listed here have been acted upon, but no petition for a drain has ever been filed.
